Though I do think they are on point with some Grace-inspired cardigans, pearls, and pencil skirts/dresses--at times they are also reaching a tad. I'm gonna take a wild guess that HRH would not strut around Monaco in a sheer applique shirt or body-con cutout dresses...but I guess it's the thought that counts.

The Santo Domingos

Lauren and Andres....friggin love them. He's a Colombian billionare, she's a socialite and contributing blogger for Vogue. They had a literal fairytale wedding in Cartagena, which the Santo Domingos basically own. She alternates her daily bags between Proenza Schoulers and mochilas. They are wonderfully multicultural and my relationship style icons!!! Even more amazing, his sister dates Andrea Casiraghi, as in brother to Charlotte and grandson to my all time favorite icon, Princess Grace Kelly. What a small world we live in.

Hunting for Inspiration

Thank goodness style.com has buscar filters! This took long enough WITH I can't imagine without! OH, and I am searching for a black-tie optional dress! I'd like to avoid black....but I really love that deep vneck... ;). Hopefully I come across something in the next mesa with a reasonable $$!

Pirouettes and Plies

Am I the only one who absolutely adores tulle?! I came home tonight with una vestida that basically has a tutu for the skirt... needless to say novio is not a fan. But I love how girly tulle is, like a ballerina, yet also very playful. Granted, it's not something that will age with you gracefully so I say, while in your twenties, let them wear tulle!

Reminiscent of HRH Princess of Monaco...

Claudia Schiffer, shown aqui in photos by Mario Testino for el nuevo Ferragamo campaign, seems to have been styled after Ms. Grace Kelly herself. From the hairstyle to the tastefully cut suits and minimalist accessories, Schiffer looks spot-on. Also--the sunkissed marina and boats in the background look awfully similar to the French Riviera, i.e. Monaco.

Ode to Dior

Ahh Dior. I hold a special place for Dior, I really do. The first designer bag I ever bought was a pink saddlebag with silver coins dangling from the hem...so gaudy and ostentatious yet somehow so perfect. I still have it, though I've put it through the ringer and actually really ruined the hardware. After purchasing, I was informed by my mother that my favorite outfit as a baby was a light purple Dior striped collared shirt....how chic?!

These runway snaps for Spring 2010 remind me of why I love Dior so much--the silky satin look, the unabashed girliness, and the 1940s throwback hair and makeup are a nod to the Dior of yesteryear. To me, Anya and Natasha look like porcelain glam-ice princesses. Love love love.

Loveee MK

Ok so these are like.......super last season. BUT they make me miss summer, dressing up, and having a tan. I know, I know, I live in Miami....but its actually been a little chilly here lately. And despite the fact that I am getting older at an alarming rate, these are all very mature looks....so, yeah, maybe in 5 yrs or so I could dress like this and not feel like the blue dress needs to be shortened 4 inches....!

It appears Chanel has collaborated with Spanish traditional fashion in the latest ad campaign... shot on location in Argentina. I love the lace and the layers...perfect for peeling off in the fickle Spring weather. Oh and I love that Latin man.. hahaha
