Though I do think they are on point with some Grace-inspired cardigans, pearls, and pencil skirts/dresses--at times they are also reaching a tad. I'm gonna take a wild guess that HRH would not strut around Monaco in a sheer applique shirt or body-con cutout dresses...but I guess it's the thought that counts.

The Santo Domingos

Lauren and Andres....friggin love them. He's a Colombian billionare, she's a socialite and contributing blogger for Vogue. They had a literal fairytale wedding in Cartagena, which the Santo Domingos basically own. She alternates her daily bags between Proenza Schoulers and mochilas. They are wonderfully multicultural and my relationship style icons!!! Even more amazing, his sister dates Andrea Casiraghi, as in brother to Charlotte and grandson to my all time favorite icon, Princess Grace Kelly. What a small world we live in.

Ok first, how much do I adore LSD! She is probably tied with Sienna as the most consistent topic of my conversation.

I Love LSD!

....get your mind out of the gutter! LSD stands for Lauren Santo Domingo...I am desperate for her to do some more photoshoots! Her photos in this spread are so great, and she really is so out of the box--rather than be the typical, boring Upper East Side snoot, she's an artsy and contemporary city gal who smokes cigs and frequents South America with her Colombian bilionare husband. And she writes for Vogue. Nothing about her is normal (or fair!)

I love these in particular because I am a full-on supporter of oversized gold jewelry and tousled blonde hair :)

Twitter e Moda

LOVVVVVING the current issue of Italian VOGUE and its Twitter theme! A good chunk of the photos have models posing in spreads reminiscent of 16-year old girls MySpace pictures..but all in good fun! Props to Vogue Italia for jumping on the social networking bandwagon and poking fun at all the tweeting going on around the world.

Ms. Scarry

Adding to the blonde socialites I find intriguing, I introduce Olympia Scarry to the blog. Olympia is the graddaughter of Richard Scarry,the children's book author. Her father is also an illustrator who lives in Vienna, Austria. Along with her sister, Fiona, they gallanvant around high society events with the best of them. AND, (sigh) she even dated Pierre Casiraghi, the youngest grandson of Ms. Grace Kelly.

This One's Personal

The first real book I ever read was Grace Kelly's biography, Grace by Robert Lacey. I was so fascinated by her American Socialite-turned-real life Princess, and really what young girl wouldn't be.
She is so beyond chic it continues to amaze me. Sometimes I re-read sections of the book (I always stop when I get to deep into her marriage--so much of her charisma fades when she gains her royal title), but snippets of her young adulthood always make me laugh. Such an interesting person, yet another who was gone well before her time.

Sorry to be so depressing! I just wanted to recognize one of the greats.

The Original Bergdorf Blonde

Since I'm on such a roll posting away about my favorite blondes, here is the Manhattanite Blonde Du Jour (RIP CBK & JFK Jr!). Her blonde mane is forever immortalized in the pages of my favorite book, Bergdorf Blondes by Plum Sykes.

Despite all the vicious rumours about CBK, one thing is indisputable: the girl had PIZAZZ. And that's why I have chosen to honor her this evening, in a photo with her dreeeamy and ambitiously sexy husband, JFK, Jr. How greatly you are both missed.
