Happy Mardi Gras!

In honor of Fat Tuesday...I did the most un-fat thing ever: ran 6 miles! Can I just say I was so filled with contentment and pride afterwards...I now understand the term "runner's high"... also, the machine I was on tracked my workout through my iPod or something... love it!

A Little Romance...

...never hurt anyone ;)
Novio's display of candles y un foto of US! 2nd Valentines together. I was blessed with the MOST bonita watch, yo se I already said that but really, I love it.

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope everyone spends today with someone that they love, whether its a significant other, a friend, or family. Or even a pet. Love is all around!! AND Novio gave the BEST present...a wonderful gold Michael Kors watch. A+ !! Also, if you're like me and plan on holing up indoors all day, Lifetime has a great love movie marathon going... here are some of my favorite movies/people/kissing scenes:

Secret's Out!

2009 Victorias Secret Fashion Show After Party

Here is la bonita Doutzen... VS Supermodel who walked in tonight's show...I think she has got one of the healthier figures on the runway (I don't dare say full-- she can't be over a size 2, but compared to Miranda Kerr and some of the other super skinny gals she thinks quite voluptuous). Additionally, she looks like a genuinely sweet person. And I love her hair.

Also, is it just me, or did the Angels-in-Training contest sport an awful lot of fake boobs? I remember a time when VS said they didn't endorse girls with breast augmentations because the lingerie didn't quite "fit right" or something.... hmmmm...

Feliz Diciembre!

Wowowowow.....antes I forget- HAPPY DECEMBER! I am officially now on the hunt for an advent calendar. I love these boxes of cardboard stuffed with chocolately goodness--they remind me of my grandmother (RIP Bea!)... though the one I picked up last year had some funky tasting chocolate. Maybe this year I'll splurge and look outside of the dollar store.

Soooo TIS THE SEASON! I'm going home to mi mamita in a few weeks... around the 20th or so... para una semana! Wheee! I'm looking forward to wearing boots, tights, bar tabs under $10 and breakfast in bed courtesy of my mama. Pero, yo soy mucha triste... Novio is thinking of going to Colombia for a MONTH--meaning he will miss our anniversary, Christmas, and New Years. Soooo not ok. Yo creo he will reconsider.

Anyhoo....time for beddy. Yo tengo una grande semana ahead y I'd like to work out in la manana.

post turkey day wrap up

This holiday season was spent in Athens, GA with my dad, brother (CT), and novio y my stepmom's family. After dinner... dad CT and I went to paint the town in holiday cheer, resulting in my sorry @$$ staying in bed all day Friday aside from my bouts to the bathroom to yak up turkey, gravy, and vodka.

Also, novio is getting ready for FINALS. Its so crazy that semester uno of law school is practically dunzo. I heard horror stories though that 2nd semester is a total bitch. I desperately hope this is not the case.

ALSO, I found out that my Chrsitmas present is a vacation, I'm a bridesmaid in my old college roomate's wedding, and that exercise and eating right really do wonders for a gal's figure. Primero, the trip: a week, mid-2010 BACKPACKING THROUGH PERU TO MACHU PICCHU! Second, the wedding: Kari & Zack, March 2010. And the gym? I'm slowly dwindling away those post collegiate cling-ons. Soooooooo, all in all, todo bien! Except that I am feeling slightly under the weather.

Tiempo a practico my espanol y leo "The Time Traveler's Wife." Que lindo!

Ciao

Dear Santa

I know this is premature, being that we haven't even gotten through Thanksgiving, but I believe the early bird gets the worm--or the baubles, in my case. To be fully prepared for this holiday season, I've decided to construct my Christmas Wish List.

You know what I truly adore? Juicy Couture. Them, along with Betsey Johnson, are at the top of my list because they are so unabashedly girly. I love it! I asked for this bracelet for my birthday and was sadly jilted, though no matter, I'll simply pay it forward to my holiday list.
I'll stick to one item per post (I dont want to seem like a materialistic brat!).
In other news, I'm reading a divine book called "The Last Summer (of You and Me)" by Ann Brasheres, the same whimisical writer behind the Traveling Pants books. Takes me back to my youth! Great beach read. It really helped me pass the time while sunbathing yesterday. I have a monster migraine right now, so it's off to the medicine cabinet for excedrin and some tea... ta ta for now ;)
